Wine of the Week #15

According to Saviah Cellars: This wine has aromas of black cherries, raspberries, plum and spices with a touch of oak. The layers of silky red and black fruit are framed with seamless tannins and a long beautiful finish. This wine is 83% Merlot and 17% Cabernet Sauvignon.
According to me: First off, I love this label and the way that Saviah went about marketing this red table wine. They have created a very unique label and in their second year making this wine, folks already know that the production is somewhat limited - 1750 (ish) cases. Second, mmm Merlot. That was the first taste that came to me when I tasted this one. Then came the spicyness, a lot of spicyness. Love the label, like the wine.
