Fantasy Football Season
As much as I hate to see summer start winding down August is always met by the excitement of fall and the start of football season. Last night The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen embarked upon our annual draft. The entire 19 rounds and 228 picks took right around 2 hours.
I named my team Horn-Metrics, in honor of my cousin Chris Horn, who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs. The Metrics part of the name is a take off on sabermetrics, the method of statistical analysis used within professional baseball organizations. My goal was to create a team in the mold of Chris Horn - hard working over-achievers with plently of potential and desire. Note: I did not draft Terrell Owens or Jamal Lewis or Koren Robinson or Onterrio Smith or Ricky Williams. I think my research and strategery paid off with a sucessful draft, but only the season will provide true measurement.
