This afternoon while driving home I had one of those moments where frustration finally boiled over, and I realized that something had to be done about my audio habits while driving to and from work. I often listen to a lot of sports radio this time of year - with all the bowl games, the NFL season winding down, and college basketball heating up - there is usually something worth hearing grown men argue about streaming over the airwaves and into my car stereo. Not to mention I like most of the personalities on KJR and for the most part they have stopped talking about Husky football until at least July. This morning I decided I’d had enough of sports talk radio for awhile, and vowed to tune into KEXP for the drive home, which is by far my favorite station in Seattle, in hopes of catching onto some new music. No luck, this afternoon they missed, and I ended up switching the dial over to The END 107, which really is the last resort in Seattle radio- IMHO.
As I was getting home, I decided I must update the iPod and get in the habit of bringing it into my car everyday. Conveniently, I got an iPod car charger for Christmas so my iPod battery problem is now resolved. As I was taking the time to poke around iTunes for some entertaining podcasts I found a keeper.
Tim Elliott has been publishing wine podcasts for over a year now. I have already downloaded recent podcasts on Sangiovese and Beaujolais Nouveau, and am rather stoked about what I have heard so far.
